I’m the proud father of the 2 sweetest, coolest sons anyone could ever wish for. My 4 year old is named Jonathan and my 7 year old is named Alex. And here’s a picture of my boys and I chilling in a hot tub at the glass museum in Corning, NY.

I absolutely love entrepreneurship, and this blog is my labor of love where I get to share the most bad ass business growth strategies with you.
As the founder of GROWTH ON FIRE!, I’m all about building a “lifestyle” business. In the past, I’ve owned companies that did well financially, but I was basically a slave to my work. Instead of owning the company, the company owned me, for all intents and purposes. I was more miserable “living the American dream” as an entrepreneur than when I was shackled within a 5 foot by 5 foot cubicle doing mindless work. I even enjoyed the 2 years working construction, making $75 per 10 hour day doing grueling manual labor more than my “successful” entrepreneurial endeavors.
My definition of entrepreneurial success is simple: having the freedom to do what you love without worrying about money. I’m not talking about living an extravagant, lavish lifestyle. I’m talking about having the freedom to truly enjoy the important things in life while generating enough money so that the fear of financial insecurity ceases to exist. When you love what you do, it’s not work. It’s a natural extension of you, a part of your lifestyle. Hence the term “lifestyle business.”
My personal goal is to make enough money to support my family doing what I love on my own terms (which is helping entrepreneurs and small business owners grow their online presence and make more money deploying digital marketing tactics).
I’m not quite there. As I mentioned previously, I’m still working a corporate job doing online marketing for a finance company, while I continue to grow my digital marketing agency.
So you may be asking yourself, “Why should I listen to this guy? He’s not even currently a full time entrepreneur!” That’s a great question, and I would probably think the same thing if I were you.
Here’s the thing. Right now, I live almost 4 hours away from my precious sons for work related reasons. Although I’m truly blessed to see them every weekend (even though it’s a ton of driving :-), I’m tired of being a part time dad. If you have children, you know how incredibly fast they grow up.
I’ve missed too much and am determined to do whatever it takes to grow my digital marketing agency into my lifestyle business that allows me to be a full time father to my sons. So to be blunt, I have a red hot ball of fire under my ass motivating me to maximize every spare second of free time to grow my business.
